2011 COST Awards Nominating Form

The New Jersey Council on Special Transportation will be presenting the annual C.O.S.T. Awards at the 16th Annual Community Transportation & Paratransit Seminar and Vendor Expo on Friday, September 16, 2011.  The Expo will be held at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.

 

Awards will be presented for the following categories:    Driver of the Year, Dispatcher of the Year, Maintenance Employee of the Year, Administrative Employee of the Year and Outstanding System of the Year.

 

In addition to accepting nominations from Directors and Supervisors, we are also encouraging agency staff to submit self-nominations or nominate fellow employees for Driver, Dispatcher, Maintenance Employee, Administrative Employee of the Year Awards.

 

Description of Recognition Awards:

 

*   Driver of the Year (a person employed as a full-time, part-time or volunteer driver)

 

*   Dispatcher of the Year (a person who is responsible for dispatching vehicles)

 

*   Vehicle Maintenance Employee of the Year ( may include mechanics, vehicle technicians, fleet supervisors and their support staff)

 

*   Administrative Employee of the Year ( may include intakers, schedulers, phone operators, training staff, administrative assistants, supervisors)

 

*   Outstanding System of the Year

 

When nominating a person (or yourself) or agency for any of the above awards, the candidates "services beyond their normal duties" should be emphasized.  The judging of the awards will be conducted by an impartial transportation professional.
