SAVE THE DATE… On Friday, September 25, 2009, the New Jersey Council on Special Transportation’s 14th Annual Community Transportation & Paratransit Seminar and Vendor Expo will take place at the Reception Center at the PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, NJ. (Directions: Take Garden State Parkway to Exit 116 – Follow signs to Reception Center).

This year, two workshops are being offered.   For transportation administrators, managers, planners and supervisors, Dan Dirks, Past President of the Community Transportation Association of America’s board of directors will present "Leadership During Times of Budget Constraints".  Mr. Dirks has been traveling throughout the country making this presentation and NJ COST is thankful to CTAA for sponsoring him to attend this Expo.

The second workshop being offered is geared towards operational and second tier transportation supervisors.  Rex Knowlton, one of this country's United We Ride Coordination Ambassadors will present a workshop created just for NJ COST titled  "The Boss Is Out of the Office, I Have Been Placed In Charge".  So many have been put in this position and Mr. Knowlton has first hand experience in dealing with this topic and will share this and much more information with the workshop attendees.

In addition to the workshops being offered, there will be more than 25 inside and outdoor exhibitors displaying their paratransit and community transportation products and services.

The registration fee for the Expo is $50.00 per person and includes a continental breakfast and a sumptuous hot and cold buffet luncheon with two meat-carving tables.  

After the Expo, guests may stroll around the beautiful landscaped grounds of the PNC Bank Arts Center and visit the Vietnam Memorial and Museum.
