SAVE THE DATE… On Friday, September 14, 2007, the New Jersey Council on Special Transportation’s 12th Annual Community Transportation & Paratransit Seminar and Vendor Expo will take place at the Reception Center at the PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, NJ. (Directions: Take Garden State Parkway to Exit 116 – Follow signs to Reception Center).

  This year, two workshops will be offered. (Descriptions of each are attached).  Improving Performance: How to Compete will be offered for transportation administrators, managers, planners and supervisors.  This workshop will be presented by Joseph Seitz, Director of Training & Development for the Maryland Transit Administration.  This workshop comes highly recommended from CTAA.

  The second workshop being offered is equally as exciting.  NJ COST is delighted to announce that one of the country’s leading transportation maintenance experts, Halsey King, has been contracted to present a workshop for maintenance supervisors, mechanics and their support staff titled  Post Accident Procedures for Maintenance. 

  In addition to the workshops being offered, there will be more than 25 inside and outdoor exhibitors displaying their paratransit and community transportation products and services.  Also, The Braun Corporation has sponsored the luncheon keynote speaker, Brett Eastburn.  Brett is a respected motivational speaker who has traveled worldwide demonstrating his ability to overcome his disability.

  The registration fee for the Expo is $50.00 per person  ($60.00 if reserved after September 7th) and includes a continental breakfast and a sumptuous hot and cold buffet luncheon with two carving tables. 

After the Expo, guests may stroll around the beautiful landscaped grounds of the PNC Bank Arts Center and visit the Vietnam Memorial and Museum.
